Page Four. Madrid and Toledo

This day we took the Metro to a station near the Royal Palace and walked over to the Royal Palace for a tour. After the tour we walked back toward our hotel, stopping at another art museum. In the afternoon we went to the Atchoa train station to get tickets to Toledo. Arriving in Toledo, we wandered around the city until we found our hotel, and then we went for another walk (without our backpacks) to enjoy the twilight. We had dinner in a Chinese restaurant to finish our evening.

Toledo at night The palace at night The Cathedral Tower lit up at night
The moon shines over this building in Toledo. From the roof of our hotel we could observe the Toledo palace in the darkness of night. Night lighting on the Toledo Cathedral.

The Next Day we visited the sights of Toledo and went to Cordoba.

Toledo is a fine city to visit. It is easier to appreciate if you have read about the history of the city and recognize the significance of what you are seeing. Even if you don't know much about Toledo, you can enjoy the experience of the narrow streets and ancient houses. It's fun to get lost in Toledo.
