Page One. Our Layover in New York

We had a long layover in New York, so my sister Jennell came out to meet us for a few hours together, and she brought along her son and daughter, my nephew and niece Dante and Angie.

Forward to the next day.
Angie and Jeri in the back seat of Jennell's Car Angie and Jeri with crayons Angie with reflection in the mirror
Angie and Jeri enjoy the comfortable ride in the back seat of Jennell's cute little car. Angie ponders the possibilities of drawing something with crayons. Here is Angie in the New York Aquarium looking away from a dark tank where she is reflected.
Angie pushing her stroller with Dante Bebbe's Bathysphere Little Angie is crowned by Dante with a plastic hat
Angie enjoys pushing her stroller. Dante poses with me by the original bathysphere used by Bebbe in his descents to the great deeps. Dante thought Angie might like to wear this plastic bowl as a hat, but Angie thought the whole idea was funny.
Leaving the zoo and starting our walk along the boardwalk at Coney Island Boardwalk Coney Island On the boardwalk
After the zoo closed we walked out onto the boardwalk. Angie enjoyed pushing her brother Dante. When Angie got tired of pushing Dante around, her mother scooped her up and Jeri pushed the stroller. The sea breeze on Coney Island brought a feeling of coolness and comfort as we stolled along.
Jennell chasing Angie Dante playing in the sand Angie playing in the sand
Angie is happy to go running off to explore or meet new people, and her mom has to chase her around. Dante especially enjoyed kicking up sand to make tiny sand storms on the beach. This was only Angie's second visit to any beach, as she had only visited for her first time a week earlier.

From New York we flew to Madrid.

We were only in New York for a few hours, but this was a very special time for us. it was our first chance ot meet Angie, our new niece. She gave us hugs and showed that she was glad to know us. It was a treat to see Dante again as well. It's always a joy to see Jennell.

Forward to the next day.
