We had a get-together for exchange scholars on May 18th in Harbin.

On May 18th several of the faculty from the School of Western Studies who have been to the University of Illinois in Springfield came together for lunch.

  Chuan-Min’s apartment was a great spot for entertaining. We had fun preparing various foods. One of the pizzas we made. A delicious treat.

  The halls of commerce just stretched on and on. There were many halls like this one full of small stalls or bays where customers could buy clothing, shoes, or many other things. I remember my sons enjoying this Plants versus Zombies game a while ago.

  I tried to have some conversations with the shopkeepers and sales staff. Here is my Chinese teacher in my apartment. Her name is Amanda (Wang Chaoying) I purchased a pair of shoes, and the shoe box encouraged me to keep up an optimistic spirit.
