June 5th: Qing Dynasty Temples in Chengde.

In the morning of our full day in Chengde, we took a bus downtown, and then took a taxi to Putuozongcheng Temple, also known as the little Potala Palace Temple, which was construted in 1767-1771 during Qianlong's reign, to give thanks for his 60th birthday and his mother's 80th birthday, and also as a place to welcome Mongolians and Tibetans. We also visited the Xumifushou Temple, which is adjacent to the Putuozongcheng Temple, and was constructed about ten years after the Putuozongcheng Temple.
