Some Pictures from Summer 2007 in Asia

This is the seventh page of photographs from our summer in Taiwan and Asia. The previous page features photographs from Taiwan, while this page has photographs from Macau, Hong Kong, and Japan. Like all our photograph album pages, the tiny images here are linked to much larger ones. Clicking on images will open a new window (unless your browser blocks new windows) displaying the original image. More Asian photographs are here.

The first eight photographs on this page were taken on July 14th, a day we shared with Chun-Chih’s cousin’s wife and children. They took us to the Wu-Feng homestead cultural park, the Wu-Feng Temple, the temple and suspension bridges in Chukou, and then we went wading in the river there in Chukou. I believe that is Istana Wumar (Li-Mei Ko) in the third photograph.

The third row of pictures shows the time we spent with the Shih family. These are Chun-Chih’s cousin and her children.

The pictures on the fourth and fifth rows (and the first on the sixth row) are all from Macau. Eric and Sebastian had a couple days in Macau. The book advertised below has 200 pages, and 140 pages are pictures from Macau (it’s a photogenic place).

The three middle photographs in the sixth row are from Hong Kong. We had nearly a week in Hong Kong, but I was so busy at the conference and in my online teaching that we didn’t get out for much exploring.

The seventh through ninth rows are from Tokyo. We had a three night layover in Tokyo, and this gave us some time for a taste of Japan.
